Geology
This class is geared towards the 6th and 7th-grade levels covering Geology, the study of the earth. This includes landforms, volcanos, weather, climate, the solar system, and anything related to Earth.
We made a working volcano island this year.
Biology
This class is geared toward the 7th and 8th-grade levels covering Biology and the study of living things. This includes taxonomy, DNA, the origins of life, and disease. The famous “Monster DNA” lesson is in this class!
Physics
This class is geared toward 8th and 9th-grade levels covering Physics and the study of motion and forces. As my older students will point out, this is “the one with the math in it”, but they learn that if they follow the formulas, it’s simple. We also do a bit of physical chemistry; it often goes wrong, but they have to figure out why and that’s fun too!
Sometimes it works and we get candy!
